Strength and performance on show in Düsseldorf

We are back in business this year at Wire and Tube 2024 in Düsseldorf in Hall 13, booth D45 from April 15-19. This year we’re expecting the trade fair to be back to full strength for the first time since the pandemic, with 1300 exhibitors and more than 38000 visitors from 76 countries.

Wire and Tube is an excellent opportunity to meet our customers and contacts in person, talk about the market and build relationships. Our customer Eleiko, manufacturer of the world’s finest weightlifting barbells, will be on our stand giving a hands-on demonstration of our steel’s strength and performance. Eleiko’s special guest, Nico Müller is European weightlifting champion and will be lifting weights of up to 250 kg.

Reach your decarbonization targets today

In addition to understanding business implications from the ETS and CBAM system, commitments to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and similar, we can provide on-site support at the fair to calculate the cradle to gate carbon footprint (scope 1-3) on each single product.

Upstream scope 3 emissions will be compulsory to provide for almost all steel products. We provide you as a stakeholder the footprint through the Ovako Carbon Calculator, a fully developed tool for embedded product emissions. All data from raw material sourcing through steel making and further processing of the engineering steel product are included.

Stop by for a calculation at the Ovako stand to calculate and discuss your possibilities to instantly and cost-efficient reach targets set for 2030 and beyond. Thus, you eliminate risk for scarcity of such products.

Standing alongside our parent companies

Another important aspect of our presence at the show is that we’re sharing a space with our parent companies, Sanyo Special Steel and Nippon Steel. By joining together as a team, we’re demonstrating the breadth of our product range and showing that we have a team capable of supporting customers around the world.

It’s also a great opportunity for us to build relationships with our colleagues from Japan.

Please invite any of your colleagues to join us as we look forward to bringing you news of interesting aspects of the steel business world.

Together we create steel for a decarbonized society.

All the best,
