Alihankinta, Tampere

We are participating in the Alihankinta Subcontracting Fair from October 1st to 3rd, 2024, in Tampere. This event brings together industry experts and decision-makers, providing an opportunity to showcase our latest innovations in steel production. At our booth, visitors can learn about our high-quality steel products, which are made from over 97% recycled material and have significantly reduced CO2 emissions and also experience our steel mills by way of VR headsets which throw you right into the furnace. 

We will also highlight our comprehensive service offerings, including Ovako Metals - our warehouse in Finland, which ensures timely and efficient delivery of our products. Don't miss the chance to meet our team and discover how our solutions can benefit your business.

Showcasing innovation

Join us at the MSV Brno International Engineering Fair from October 10th to 13th, 2024, in Brno. This event is a platform for presenting technologies and innovations in the engineering industry. We will be showcasing our advanced steel products, including our low carbon produced steel, which is designed to meet the highest standards of sustainability and performance.

Our team will be on hand to discuss our latest developments and how our products can help you achieve your sustainability goals. Plus, we will have our trusty barista on hand to whip up plenty of delicious caffeinated beverages.

   Leading the way in sustainable steel

We are exhibiting at the Euroforge conFAIR 2024, taking place on October 22nd and 23rd in Milan. This event is a gathering for the forging industry, and we are excited to present our steel solutions. Our focus will be on our low carbon produced steel, which is part of our commitment to creating a decarbonized society. Visitors to our booth will have the opportunity to learn about our sustainable practices and how our products can contribute to reducing their carbon footprint with the help of our 'Decarbonization showcase' tool - Using our big interactive screen visitors can filter, sort and get real time CO2/emission stats on certain products. Plus, they can email all the necessary information to themselves for future reference (pls zoom-in below to get a better view).

Jimmy Gran walks us through the investments in Ovako's Forging-Rolling Process.

This year, Ovako has invested in transportation equipment in Hofors and upgraded control stations in Hällefors to enhance their forging-rolling process. This combined method optimizes material properties and surface finish. The new equipment enables automated transport of pre-forged billets, aiming for efficient production where every third billet can come from press 21 without disrupting the rolling mill operations.
